A number of years back I took a stab at creating a fantasy comic.
The story followed the adventures of POKE & SILVER, a fairy and her rabbit companion, relentlessly pursued by a sect of fanatical druids bent sacrificing the poor rodent ( he's kinda special ).

A whole 13 pages were penciled before I abandoned the project. Since the pages are just lying about getting yellow I felt they might as well serve as blog fodder.
Startled awake by Silver's approach, he tells her of his foreboding dream.
She reassures him then casually dismisses the matter...
Looking to hire a guide, she is pointed in the direction of the rude and
prurient Harry Calico, and a table of some dwarves.
Later, in Silver and Pokes room
Silver's hair changed several times over the period I drew these pages, because at the time I hadn't settled on her look. Those dreadlock things didn't work for me; most annoying to draw. Inking that spaghetti page after page...nightmare!
Looking back I have to say it probably wasn't bad stuff although at the time I really thought the stuff sucked.
This stuff rocks, man. Just go ahead and ink it, fixing the model problems as you go!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Craig. Ink it, color it, finish it. You could even ink it digitally, make it all vectorized. Or go old school with it and even color it with watercolors. Which ever way you go with it, it'll be good. I prefer Silver's middle hair style best. I love Harry's hat, with the little horns.
ReplyDeletethis is awesome!would be so cool if you finished it up! x3' just love that little rabbit fellow. so cute!
